Journey…
This is likely to be the start of the album, acting as my mission statement not just for LoveLostFaith but also my life – well the life I would like to try to lead…
I see the song’s beat sounding like a slow train…similar to the beat created in The Pussycat Dolls ‘I Don’t Need A Man’ but a slower tempo and will, like most of the songs on the album, have a Mancunian rap sound - I’m a northern Mike Skinner!! lol.
Here it is:
I’m sat here and don’t know what to put,
I’m stumped, frustrated – I start to tap my foot.
How can one guy sum up his life?
The joy, the pain, the trouble and strife.
I guess you can’t make sense of it all:
how I’ve grown to be six foot tall,
how I’ve fought my demons and won,
how I’ve become my parents’ precious son.
I suppose that’s why I’m writing this,
remind myself in times of unadulterated bliss:
to never forget my background and sell out,
to stick to principles without question or doubt.
Most songs are bright and cheery,
whereas I use poetry to discover the theory
of what life is for and where we’re going,
as day-by-day we are continually growing.
So please take the time to hear my blog,
acting like a Starship’s Captain’s log.
As we boldly go through the unknown –
futures unravelling and destiny’s shown.
So on this note I’ll finish my philosophic rant
And uniquely sign off on a s
